Mobo things

okay, my friend and i are both looking at new systems, we are building them the same except i want a p4 3 gig processor and he only wants a p4 2.5 gig. Will it be possible for us to have the same mother board or will i have to get a different motherboard cause mine is faster?

Yeah, you can have the same model.

Yeah i think the motherboard is pretty generic, but make sure it has a good bios on it though, are you also considering DVD RW and such?

Er, well. That doesn't really matter since companies will release their motherboards with the best BIOS at the time. It's not like it makes a difference for the generic user.

well i looked into it further and i found that p4 2.4 gig and p4 3 gig both have 800 megahertz front side buses, so that should work, no we arent getting dvd burners, just cd burners and dvd drives

Why are you buliding twin systems?

we arent really buiding them on purpose lol. We are both 16 so we dont have a lot of money, his dads friend sells parts so we are gettin them from him. I actually have a job so my comp is slightly better than his, faster processor, it was just coincedence that everything else was the same
