speedin computer!

I got the oldest pentium number one. One of the crappiest plus xp so my computer is hella slow any idea on how to speed up my computer by downloadin sum crap?:confused:

Running XP on a pentium 1 is kinda crazy... Try windows 95 or 3.1 instead. And no, you can't really download anything to make your computer faster.

If that is all you have, XP is pretty bloated for one of those machines. Plus its going to run pretty slow with less than 128 of ram, which you might be low on.

Linux or BSD could run on it just fine, without a GUI. Could be used for a web server?

Win 98 might not be too bad on it.

pentium I, yikes.... yeah umm first off get rid of xp its way too demanding for your computer. IT IS TIME TO BUY A NEW COMPUTER. save some money, you can get one 25x better than what you have right now at dell for like 400 bucks. downloading stuff will not make your computer faster. unless you have a magical modem that can download hardware. anyway, i hate to say it but you should really get a new comp. it is time.

i kno but i bought stinkin ass xp for like lets see 140 or 120 $$$
I kno that might be a rip off but iff i take off Xp and reinstall 98 can I install XP in another com or will microsoft **** up da com with wndows xp on it since i did it a 2nd te on a nusa comp?
and really is it only 400$ canadian or AMerica if it is i need to kno if its good cuz otherwise i dont want a cheap computer that sux?

well it would be 400 american. but im sure you could find canadian deal for like 550 or something. ofcourse it wont be the top of the line computer but it would be sooooo much better than what you have at the moment. And since it is dell it cant be all that bad.

For $500 American you can get a great computer, if you don't game then you'll be fine.
