From what i have heard, every tablet user that i have known just raves about them. I personally dont have one, but being able to use a pen or pencil is a lot more natural than a mouse. So I wouldn't ever say no to getting a tablet.

thx. i've never heard someone be unsatisfied with a tablet either, so i'm pretty sure i'm gonna go for it.

It makes a gigantic difference. I have the model you are considering and it's been great so far.

if you've 300 bucks to spend I would spend it on that. I love my 6x8 intous 2. You can do just about every thing a mouse can do and then some. You can use it even for just surfing the web. Say bye bye to those cramped hands.

To some extent, yes. I got a graphire 2 yesterday, because I just wanted to see what all the fuss was about, and I want to get an Intuos2 6x8. It does take some getting used to. The reason size matters is because the tablet's active area represents the entire screen. So if you drag the pen from the top left corner to the bottom right, you'd have just dragged the cursor across the whole screen. With a tablet that's 4 x 5, any small mistakes you make while drawing (nobody has perfectly steady hands) are amplified on screen. With larger tablets this effect is reduced. So that's all I can tell you about that.
