Chris...

I don't see where there'd be a problem at all. If you can't, the disk won't let you. You'll be presented with modal dialogue options when you fire up the installer application. Just choose what you want. Before doing so, check to see that the CD won't install earlier version of the ColorSync plugins. Current version is 3.0.4.

Hopefully, it's OS 9.2.2...if not, install whatever version you have and then go get the update at Apple's site.

Reply back if you need any more info.

I smell the clueless stink of an absolute refusenik. I'd bet US$1000 you've never spent more than 5 minutes using one, if at all.

actually thats all my highschool had, so i guess i havent spent more than 5 minutes on one... so i guess i do owe you 1000 bucks, now you can buy an imac! yay. ive worked on both mac and pc for 6 plus years... i feel they both bad and good. just like anything else. even in college i have to use an imac for computer modeling class, but atleast they are the new g4 ones. compared to alot of computers the imac is subpar...(especially the old g3 ones, which he is referring too) you must admit that

just a small list of macs that i have used... more than 5 minutes.

Apple IIe
Macintosh II
Mac Classic II
PowerMac 7100
PowerMac 5400 series
Mac Quadra 610
PowerMac G3
PowerBook G3
PowerMac G4
PowerMac G4 Dual Proc.
Imac Rev CD/ and Imac Slot loading
Imac SE
PowerBook G4
Imac flat Panel

List of PC

386
PI 66
PI 166
AMD k-6 475
PIII 600
AMD Thunderbird 900/1.1/1.2
AMD XP 1900
P4 1.8

I know just as much about mac as i do PC. It really is silly to call someone clueless when you are clueless about what they know.

If you are indeed that well versed then, Redeye, I find it difficult to imagine how you come to the conclusion that the iMacs aren't a brilliant bit of engineering, loaded with an amazing OS and bundled with some pretty dang fine software.

Have you tried iMovie? Blew me away, how easy it is to import and manipulate hunks of video...without even reading the first word in any manual or help file about how to do it.
