site from a friend of mine: http://www.cyclocrossonline.be

rip 01: http://home.planetinternet.be/~gicasso/index1.htm
rip 02: http://users.pandora.be/frankvdbroucke/
both are made by the same thief.

while called upon, via mail and then phoned by my friend, he started the discussion by posing that my friend stole his sites !
Then he began shouting and insulting him of thief, prick, etc.. etc..

My friend hung up, a few minutes later he rang back, just to go on with the rant !!

What can he do ?

Oh, btw, feel free to send him an e-mail, hehe.

LMAO! I sent him an e-mail. You know dude....this is what sucks about people who can't afford to copyright their sites, such as me for example. I can only setup an insurance policy by having people sign, date, and initial a chart to testify they witnessed me build everything I create. *sigh*

The first one looks ripped, but not the second one.

And you don't have to pay to copyright anything. It's copyrighted automatically.

The best way protect yourself is to keep all the original files...

If you keep you .psd with all you layers, lyaer effect of you design it will be the ultimate proof thasn you are the creator of the page...

simple yet effective...

Too bad it's not the same with music. I can't even post my works, because they aren't copyrighted. *shakes head*

Anyway, I would ask your friend if he has all the .psd files, as Delisk said.

Im not sure how it is with music but i do know that any graphics or sites which you produce or anything to do with design for that matter is actually copyrighted to you. You dont need to buy a copyright. I would look more into it cw as i think it would make a good selling point for your site (provided your music is any good lol):D

yeah.. all you need is to make a psychical copy of the original materail.. burning a CD with it all is enough to give you a copyright...

thats how i understand it when i read about it around on the net and such...

Same with music btw...
