I fond a cool little trick for locating rippers... The trick rely on the use of google (www.google.com) We all know google is great to find website... well it can also find rippers... While it may not find all rip it is an easy way to find some... Here how 1)You need the FILENAME of one images 2)Go to google (www.google.com) 3)Go to the " Images" Tab (this is naormaly used to find images on a subject) 4)In the text box enter the filename of the images 5)look at the results You will see a least one result (the image on the original site) but if someone riped the image and dint change the filename you will also see form there 6)Click on the riped results You will now have accex to the page on wich this image is located... 7)Post located rippers here... Have fun |

I would like to add more informations about my trick... 1) In order to make this trick effective, make sure you dont use commun name for you images. EX: top1 Button_home. While it may make it easier for you to manage your file be aware than my trick use the FILENAME so using a commum one will shot a lot of useless inforations when the saerch results come out.... Add more info to to your file name (ex: lie initials and numbers or even you name) in order to have an unique file name... 2) Be aware than gogole use bots... so it may taker sometime for a site to be listed... and its not sure at 100% than all rippers will be discover this way.... |

Another great way to protect your site is to protect your images (not all of them but the most imporatn one) with a digimarc signature... an invisible signature in your images who is not removable (I did try and I had to completely destoyes the image to do it)... Plus they offer tool to search those signature on the web... You can find ripper quikly... and the singature is a good proof than you own the right to the image... http://www.digimarc.com/imaging/prspider.htm http://www.digimarc.com/imaging/ibbasic_benefits.htm the down side it the fact it cost money... but the prive worht it if you really to protect yourself... |
