That would be AWESOME to see... hard as heck to judge just like the last "Balle of the Century" all of them were good it was hard to pick just one... and im sure that it would be the same way for this one...

Well, time for my weekly burst of brilliance.

Malibu has pretty much taken the words right out of my mouth, but I will try and help the argument out a bit.

Back a few months ago, I was made a moderator of these forums for one purpose only. That purpose was to admin the pixel war forums to aliviate some of the pressure on malibu and derek. I came up with, what I thought, to be excellent challenges, perhaps they were a little odd, but the idea behind them was to force you, the 'artist/designer', to be creative.

My ideas were met with some hostility and refusal by folks to think for themselves. I laid the ground work, it is your responsibility to take the idea and build something beautiful out of it.

Whether you win or lose is not the point. The point is to try. The fact that folks didn't want to think for themselves made me ask to be removed as a moderator. That as well as I couldn't keep my mouth shut about other 'issues'. Pank gladly removed me as a mod.

Sadly, with the ever growing population of this community the ideas and creativity has died off. Sure, there are several very talented designers here and there, but the fact remains that a larger percentage of folks are still 'earning their wings' so-to-speak. Perhaps these folks will gain more skill, perhaps they will fade off like most of the other johnny come lately's.

What you folks need to remember is that it is difficult for the mods to come up with great ideas one after the other, especially when you are forcing them to do all the thinking for you. Openended, highly imaginative challenges will do you more good than harm. Just think a little. That's all we ask.
