ok, so I make a graphic and post it. Looks fone on my computer, but on any other, its way too light. Also, when I print, its about 5 shades lighter than on my monitor! I have my settings on my monitor set up up up! Now...........I have Adobe Gamma loader, but when I go to lighten up my screen with it, everything seems toooo pale, even just a bit lighter dosent look right! I dont know if theres something wrong with it or if its just me! Ok, so heres the question: Is there any image out there that I can view on my monitor, thats like a certified image, that will have like a chart of color and some dark images, so that I can adjust my monitor to not be so dark, or light? Thanks for your time and consideration! Shane |

There is a thing like that...but i dont know where. Adobe Gamma should solve your problem...if it doesn't, call up your monitor make and perhaps send it back or get someone to have a look at it? Dodgey monitors aren't usually sold though...most of them go through several test phases...well depending on your make that is..Using a PC or Mac?

You could always go into PS, select all, fill with 100% black and make your monitor show you 100% black..

Hm...my dad has this color correction thing for his ViewSonic monitor...real nice. What you see on screen is what you get when you print. I will try to look at it later. :D

i dunno whats goin on, black is always black though, everythings else lightens and darkens. Thats the weird part about it. Gamma loader has this grid with a square box in the middle. it says to adjust the settings to where the box appeares to plend in with the scanlines. I did that, but it still seems a bit too dark. Thanks for all the input guys! |

Your monitor sucks. Bring it back. They are expensive and supposed to be as close to the correct colour that would come out of a printer. So basically, if we had a monitor like that where i work, it would be thrown out. You can't print anything accurately, a perfect excuse for a full cash refund or credit not as it is not fit for the purpose intended. Read up on your rights.

Like cyblingboy asked, are you using a PC or a Mac (guessing from the text below your name, you are using a Mac...)?
