And I know it need some tweaking as well (colors of text, buttons, etc.)

I like the automatic smilies. Been meaning to add that hack to my phpBB, but I just havent. :D

I also like them better than the old yellow ones.

well.. the new version seems pretty cool.. and the graphics aren't that terrible with the exception of the "user cp, register, calender... etc.." buttons..

on another topic, what does one have to do to become a moderator.. ?

I consider all of you moderators You guys seem to moderate yourselves just fine. The only thing I ever have to do is move the occasional thread out of the showroom to misc. or something. Pretty dull job ;)

But if the need ever arises I have a few of you regulars pegged already...

It appears spellchecker.net discontinued it's free service so that is why the spell checker is not active any more :(
