I'm In need of a couple of books, and was wondering what your opinions of what are the best books out there for JavaScript, PHP, and Coldfusion. edit: (ok, so that's three books.) Thanks in advance. ![]() |

for php, anything really. But if you can find an Oreilly book, get it. The O'reilly books are the best hands down. Same with coldfusion and javascript. Although, I found javascript alot easier by finding someone elses script and figuring out what stuff does. Sure I can't do fancy stuff yet, but I can do my own rollovers. If you have the programmer mentality, get a book that covers the DOM as well as the W3C Specifications. |

Not me, but only because I don't use books....but that's just because I can't read...I do like to look at the pictures though.

I would just learn them all online. Or just put together the pieces you find at other sites. Pretty much everything you would want to program has already been programmed, and you and just download it from some PHP site. |
