Can anyone tell me what is wrong with this:

$3/month just seems a little too good to be true:

This one sounds good too....and 175MB of space.

I basically just need 50-200 (I'll fill it either way) MB of space but I'm not going to pay $20/month for it.

Please let me know if anyone else knows any CHEAP ones....something that's not gonna' cost me and arm and a leg...my damn car takes care of that.

never heard of either, so can't comment on either.

I can mention mine which I've hosted 2 sites on for over a year.

http://linuxwebhost.com (the $7.95 deal).

No setup fee
50 MB space
3 gig transfer (thats the only real killer)
50 POP3s
Mailing lists
CGI\Perl
PHP\MySQL (phpMyAdmin)
SSL
FTP
Control Panel
...and more.

You can also host sites under your account for half price. Thats why I'm paying $7.95 for Visual Intensity, and only $4.00 for the Disney site, both with their own 50 MB plan.

Been really good. 1 or 2 problems with my VI site over the last year+, but nothing I've been concerned with.

Only host I've stayed with more than a couple of months, only because I haven't found a reason to leave.

These don't really concern me:

[CGI\Perl
PHP\MySQL (phpMyAdmin)
SSL ]

Because I have no use for them. I'm not into the really complicated shit. I just need the basics. Angelfire would be fine with me if only they didn't have those fuckin' banners.

**2 things I want--No banners, and at least 50MB of space**

Thanks though.

Hmm, not sure of many free ones with alot of space (well without banners\popups). f2s.com is alright, but I think thats only 20 mb.

Might try browsing through http://www.freewebspace.net

And right after I opened my mouth, they bumped me up to $9.95.

Sorry to hear that, but I hear that it's a common thing out there......

another reason I'm kinda' leary. Because when I was looking at terms of service and shit they ALL said "Price subject to change without notice"

.......SCREEECH!......

That's when I continued my search....yet to no avail.

I've never tried them out though so I don't know how good their service is.

HOWEVER, I've been using www.onedollarhosting.com for almost a year now, and have experienced nothing but flawless service and friendly staff with them. Excellent company.

Cool Disney site :D Although I'm more of a Disneyland (the original) enthusiast, myself. Keep up the great work.

I haven't got it off the ground yet but I have a new Windows 2000 proffesional server (100Mhz bus /384 Meg ram) that was just hooked up to a T1 last week.
I've not really gone thru hosting prices "yet" but I can tell ya I can beat everything I've seen on this thread so far.
I'll have it up and going in the next week. Right now I've got that interface I've been working on on that server (an old version) just to have something there other than a placeholder page.

P.S. dont be suprized if you click this link and get a 404 today/tonight......I'm working on something and have the DNS down for a while

I'm in desperate need and I don't have a freakin' credit card at the moment (until I get mine back, but God only knows how long that shit takes)......

Getting highly impatient with Angelfire......
