where can i find a free web that willl let me upload a .wav or .mp3 file? i've been wanting to play a song along with my site for the sept 11, but i've been unsucessful at geocities, brinkster and eccentrix. pls help thanx |

you shopuld check out whaat size yoour mp3/wav file is and then check out how much space youre allowed at any particular web host. that may be your problem since most of them set limits on how much space youre allowed to use with what you upload as far as other hosts to check out i cant help you there. sorry |

at geocities it says it's a blank file for the .wav and it doesn't it try to upload the .mp3 and for some reason the converted .wav is bigger then the original .mp3 it's like 43000 kb and 4500 kb something like that |

Of course *.wav's are bigger than *.mp3's. Mp3's are about 1meg per minute (depending on quality) and the equivilent wav would be a bit less than 1 meg per second. That's why *.mp3 is the media of choise now... Duh. As for why it doesn't work. I can't help ya. Angelfire lets you have 50 megs though. And for something like 10 bucks a year you can have your own dot com domain. |
