CS2 is a great change from Photoshop 7... Stay away from Photoshop 8 which is between the two and quite confusing to use. CS3 is basically CS2 with a modified user interface and a few more features. The only drawback I see in CS3 is the fact that it doesnt have a creative spash or nice looking logos, it's like they made almost no effort to keep putting artwork on it... I dont even like it on my desktop anymore. So is Photoshop destined to face the same fate as 3ds max? reaking of complete functionality while the install process, the logos and splash suffer boring blandness? Who can complain about features, but the lack of any sort of effort to keep the user visually satisfied is unthinkable. I cant tell Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash apart anymore apart from the colors... thats almost what Macromedia did before Adobe bought them, except they actually made logos for their software. Everything is turning so corporate these days.. where are superheroes when you need them? This rant brought to you by, -Endat |

I'm still on 7.0. Just haven't found a good enough reason to upgrade I guess. |

I also use 7. I could afford the upgrade but don't want to spend the money considering 7 works and I'm happy with it. If I remember correctly, I was interested in the improved CS file browser. The only other thing I was intrigued by was the new font tools. What does the upgrade cost these days? $150? |
