Reading through the wtfbbq thread etc... There were a few references to problems created on the board around the time of the US elections... So without recreating those issues... What happened??? Or maybe we just shouldn't go there again!

A bunch of nerds just started talking about politics and it created threads that were really really long without a lot of boring stuff that I didn't read. I much prefer arguing about mac vs. pc than silly politics.

Some of the regulars posted some commentaries about the elections in America, this probably (because of the Google ratings) got people's attention, because we had a big influx of people who wanted to do nothing but argue politics. It really kinda took over the forum for quite a while.

I think the Mac vs PC wars are just as bad as any politically-sided argument. I'm not sure you want the political talk anymore...I think that really scared a lot of the forum regulars away. Sure, it brought in many non-Photoshop users, but it really drained the energy of the forum (or vice-versa some might believe). It was basically arguments between Americans and everyone else....or me against everyone else it often seemed. I often felt like I was the lone Repub on here (other than sometimes Dan and often some other guy whose name I cannot now remember). I think healthy debate is good, but political talk just divided everyone.
