Viewing PS CS fonts in fonts Style

Hey all, this has driven me mad for years.
Is there some simple setting, somewhere, that enables the drop down list of PS CS fonts to be viewed as they would be presented rather than the exceedingly unhelpful default Arial (or whatever it is)? MSWord does this quite nicely, hell, even this forum does it.

Well, if you highlight the font drop down box so it's blue, and you scroll your wheel mouse, it will change the highlighted text in your textbox and show you what your getting for real

Hey thanks man, that helps a lot.
It’s still not nearly as convenient as simply showing the fonts in style in the drop down list, however. Does anyone know maybe is there a plug-in that will do this? Adobe’s solution is like some sort of nerdy, half-assed, over-engineered and less helpful fix for a simple problem.
