intuos or graphire?

Which wacom tab should I get? I am going to be using it fro illustrator photoshop imageready corel painter macromedia and banner designs.

any input on what would be best?

Forget what programs your using, and focus on what your doing with them.

With mention of imageready/banners etc, im going to guess you'll be doing mostly basic tasks / sketching. If thats the case graphire is the way to go. It's cheaper and has more than you need.

If hardcore illustration/painting is your intended use, then take a good look at both of them.The intuos will offer more features (bigger price) though the graphire is just as capable. Skill will determine the quality of the results not the tablet.

Also any tablet beats a mouse!

yea, I got a "cool-i-cam" one for 50 bucks but I heard the wacom willl blow it away.

I have the graphire at home and the intuos at work. I use them the same way. I say let the company buy the intuos, otherwise the graphire is just fine
