I found a java script that can automatically change the
screen area settings on web browsers.

so if someone was 800x600 you could change it to what ever u wanted to...

i was wondering if this was smarter to do? or if it would be better just to say the recommended resolution rather than changing it for them?

I think I know what you mean when the person visits your site and say they have 1024 by 768 then it changes the size from say full screen to the desired amout of picels you have set.

Well I sadly didn't like yhe use of it (because I like surfing the webpage with my browser taking up the whole of my desktop )
but I suppose it is user preference, why not give it a try with a feedback button or even a forum??

hmmmmm my opinion again I (do u mean it changes their resolution?)
Because if it did that to me Id be annoyed (if I was on my old pc) because my monitor and gfx card combo sometimes messes up on a different resolution

I seriously doubt there is a script to change the actual desktop settings on your computer. If there is, and you use it, you will be banned from web design forever. If it's an older computer, you could completely destroy their computer. Please don't even use a script like that. Don't even use a script to resize the browser window. Would you want someone to resize your tv every time you changed the channel?
