my computer teacher has an i-pod with 200+ songs on it, which is a pretty expensive collection. yesterday, without warning, it told him it was configuring the library or somethin' along those lines, then it deleted all of his songs. the look on his face was so hilarious, i couldnt stop laughing. granted, he didnt find it funny at all. i still giggled all the way to detention though.

umm why did your teacher have an iPod with him? It really is a long time since I went to school, last time I was there all teachers smelt of coffee and fags, my how things have changed. No wonder the next generation are as thick as two short planks ;) When did teachers start giving out detentions for laughing at things that are not appropriate for them to be bring to the classroom or school? I would of laughed all the way to the headmaster back in my day - of course they were the good old days ;) |

I have a 30 Gig Creative Nomad Zen Xtra. It cost me $50 less than an iPod with half the storage capacity. It runs/sounds great. 5600 songs and they all work. THAT's why iPods suck...

The Nomad Zen is, indeed, sexy. But I have one of these new fangled music players, it's called a CD player. It's new technology so don't feel dumb if you haven't heard of it. It never crashes, it costs 10 dollars, I can add songs without a computer, the list goes on... |

I use a portable G4 MP3 player, it holds about 40 gigs of mp3's, and its never crashed yet.. and most of all, the batteries never go dead because I just plug it in the power outlet in the car.

I'm yet to have any complaints or major problems with my iPod, so I don't shiv a git. Although, once I charged it and my battery meter still showed it was empty but as I was using it it filled itself up, like my dad's gas tank did once. |

1st up, it wasnt a crash it was him being a dumbass and having it on the wrong mode, the mode its in syncs it with your current itunes library. He plugged it in and didnt read the warning about it going to resync with his non-home mac im guessing the computers mac. If he puts it in manual mode it will be just fine. Tell him to read the directions before hand.
