I didn't get a chance to see it yet, though it does look quite good.I wanted to last friday, but a friend f mine, who was with em at the time, is a scary movie WUSS and said he couldn't 'handle' seeing it. So, we saw the crapmendous
Taking Lives, which was far worse than it let on in the previews.
In related news, however, 28 days later was great for quite a few reasons, a few of which are:
- Greatest soundtrack EVER
(Godspeed You Black Emperor, and Blue States together at last) - AT LEAST in the top 5 bloodiest movies I've ever seen
- Low Budget=Grungy and dark, exactly what a good zombie movie ought to be
- Cillian Murphy, one of the most unlikely badasses in a recent film
- Well written, and original
- Did I mention 'bloody as anything'?
I will concede this, however, if the first scene, in the lab were left out, the film is MUCH better. The first time I saw it, I came in late, and missed that part. I started when he was waking up in the hospital, which leaves the origin question unanswered, and makes for a far more engrossing plot.
