I really dont think this site looks this good cause of its sofware it has to be thanxs to Pank and the Mods here. I always say the people make a forum. Also does VBulletin run on non windows servers?
Where do you get this info? I would be curious. phpBB runs their own forum on their site and they are at 100K users and their db is almost 1 GB and the forum runs fine. Plus phpBB 2.1 will be out soon, which is pretty sweet from what I can tell.
I'm talking bout how many users online @ the same time it can handle. VB has no prob handing huge amounts of users. The number of members registered don't matter, nor does the amount of data, cause that can be set to filter/purge old ones. |

phpBB has no problem handling a large amount of users online at one time either. It's personal preference as to which you choose. |

Wouldn't that be a matter of the server(s)? I am trying to say vBulletin is not better or anything, I think it is a great product. But from what I can tell, phpBB does just fine as well. And yes this great look is big ups to the Pankman.... |

I still trust VB for a more enterprise level. Loads on the server are lower with VB for some reason based on a site Hostradius hosts.

I think the reason why he thinks it is so clean looking is because of the skin. That is Pank's work, you can check them out at http://www.vbskinz.com
vBulletin simply is the best board software out there. There is nothing wrong with IPB or phpBB but if you have a big board go with vB. Trust me...
...until phpBB 2.2 is released. |
