Deker -> when I run apps on Linux or BSD they take on the look of the skin (currently I am running a sort of Mac look alike on RedHat - bsd has no x running).
Go into your teminal and check ports, might be: /usr/ports/irc (default on FreeBSD.), the FreeBSd ports tree comes with about 30+ irc clients you can install. But I pretty much only use Xchat (not Xirc like I thought - lol)
