Hey Gang, I'm just wondering if there is a connection between vbskinz and ibskinz. http://ibskinz.com/ I don't think so. But thought I might ask. Also, it would be cool to see the vbskinz available for Invision Power Board. |

I didn't think so. Going there today I see that the links aren't even working. hmmmmm..... Anyway - it would be cool to see the skins here also avalible for IPB. I recently installed a copy of that on a site I was working on, and I was somewhat amazed at how few commercial skinning places there were for IPB. |

Pank was talking about hiring some good IPB skinners to convert the skins awhile back I think.

That's interesting. Ya know - it took me a while to figure out 'skinning' IPB. Basically the reason was for lack of infomation on how to do it. There are a couple of good skinning sites out there for IPB, but only maybe two that actually go into tutorials for it. In the end game though, all ya need is a fully commented CSS file (which took me forever to find - if anyone wants it just message me).. And then you just kind of change your graphics - unless you wnat to go for something really rad. Anyway - I still haven't skinned it yet. But if you are editing the CSS file in something like Dreamweaver or Top Style and one is handy with graphics - it seems like that would be a snap. Cheers! |

Depends on the person (that is the honest answer). My thought was to have somebody do the conversions and be done with it. But, I'm open to having a person actually "run" that part of the site and give them a flat % of the sales lifetime in exchange for conversions and support if needed. Also that person would get all install fees for customers who need an install and customization side jobs.... To just pay somebody for a conversion I was thinking around $50 or so per skin. For a lifetime % I was thinking in the 5 to 10% range... Same deal is open for IPB... |

I never knew anything about this. I've already come up with 4 phpBB layouts myself. I'm in and out of my phpBB code constantly. But since Marble asked first, he should have first shot.

No, actually whoever is the "most" interested and can get the job done will get the job. I've posted about this numerous times with little interest and now it's just crunch time.
