I don't know why I never tried iTunes before - it's great

it really arranges stuff neatly and altough I have some 4 applications that are radio able this is the first time I really listened to internet radio - I like the layout and everything.... lol sounds like a commercial but I am really pleased.

I wonder why internet radio didn't quite catch on....how many of you listen?

also if anyone knows - can iTunes save songs from radio? that would be extremely cool

No you can't save audio from the radio, but can use a program to record any audio that is playing on your computer. I don't know what program that would be on the PC, but I know what it is on the Mac.

That's what I use. I think they were bought out by Netscape though.

iTunes radio is the coolest. You should use it Paavo and Tele.... Then you don't have to search Google.... right now I'm listening to some Techno and this category has around 73 open streams....

I don't google anything.

I just click on the icon and all the stations pop up.

Bandwidth

There are still too many dialers, compared to broadband users. To dialers, including myself (not by choice, mind you) it's a complete and utter waste of time to try and play internet radio. It'd have to buffer every 5-7 seconds. You'd nevr be able to play a song continuously. It's a pain in the ass.

This is not to say that I dislike internet radio, or the concept of it, it's just that technology hasn't really made it feasible for everyone yet.

No that's not what I mean - that's obvious. I meant among those with enough bandwith. I worked in a lot of places that had a good interent connection. Most of the bosses wouldn't forbid something as simple as radio - most were concerned with timewasters like porn/games ...stuff like that. All allowed you to play music - even if the others didn't like your style you could get headsets...even so - people would much rather buy cds than listen to radio...and I don't think it's the commercials. When you're working you don't really listen to the music - it's just pretty noise in the background...
