Does anyone know of a really nice ink jet printer that can print 11 by 14 and 11 by 17 full bleed?

So far my first choice is an Epson Stylus Photo 1280 but I’ve also been looking into a Conon i9100 Color Photo Printer, and a Hewlett Packard Deskject 1220. My budget is no greater than $500.

Anyone have any experience with a refurbished printer? Would I be better off just buying a new one if I need it to work 100%?

Printers cannot print to the edge of a piece of paper, so you won't be able to print 11 x 17 with a bleed. You need at least a .125" amount for trim. If you can afford a printer that prints bigger pieces of paper, that would be good, but your largest size, when cropped, will be around 10.5" x 16.5".

The Epson Stylus Photo 1280 says it prints borderless copies up to 13 by 44.

Well, I would like to take my comments back then. I had no idea this could be done. Shows how often I ever use a desktop printer though. My mistake FlackBait.

epson=better quality, canon=faster.

i use the epson 1280 at school all the time and it takes 13x19 sheets, or a roll. so that can be your bleed.

I ended up getting the HP Deskjet 9650. I've been playing around with it testing all different types of papers and sizes. I'm so happy with it. :D
