Mac Cartoon... Too Funny

The funniest thing from this thread was mavolent jesters no need to orgasm bit... Seriously though, the G5 is great but look into tomorrow and all the tons of fun down the road. The G5 is fast, it's clean, it's stupid proof.... But does it do any new tricks? Not really... It's the fastest newest computer with the same damn shinanogans.

Jester, you still seem to only judge a computer by how much it costs... Which is really quite irrelevant.

Plus you are comparing a custom built PC to a stock G5, ignoring the fact that you can upgrade them with 8gigs of RAM, a Radeon 9800 video card, 500 gigs of internal hard drive space, Etc. You also conveniently ignore the optical sound, Firewire 800, USB 2.0, PCI-X slots, 4x DVD burner, etc.

You have no way of knowing if a dual opteron is faster than the G5, because you've most likely never seen or used either one, and there still aren't many good G5 benchmarks out yet.

As for the case... that's completely your opinion again, as to which looks better. And you can't judge quality without using one extensively either.

So what makes the PC so special? "Uhm... it's cheap and I can build it myself. and... everybody else has one"

i think one of the key things in these arguments is the whole "speed" issue. how many people out there actually use their computers to their full ability? the only thing really pushing CPU speed now is games, 96% of the folks out there could divide their processor speed by 2 and be just fine. heck, i'm only running an 800mhz athlon at home. sure, i wish it was faster at times, but for most of what i do (which i'd wager is more than a lot of folks) its just fine.

rarely are you waiting on something because of your CPU or will you get something done faster because your CPU is 2.8ghz instead of 2.4ghz. what some of us love about macs is their ease of use, video capabilities, etc., which people that haven't used macs much probably aren't going to understand.

I'd just like to say that I didn't start this thread to start another mac vs. pc argument... we don't need anymore of those. I just thuoght the cartoon was kinda amusing and that it was kinda true. People didn't find it funny OK. So I posted another thing which I thought really was funny. But please, no mac vs. pc argument.
