I'm certian web design creates more sales, but I want to back that claim up with soem rock hard evidence. Anyone know of any or can find any?

not that i know of, probably partly because its not necessarily true. it works if your site is designed with that purpose in mind and is used in conjunction with other marketing, but just putting up a site to have a site isn't going to guarantee you anything.
