design books

Does anybody of you have some good tips on a design book...
not a book that learns you photoshop, but one that can teach your mind to create better art, or at least, show you the right steps...

i just can tell you how i make it when i re-design my page or make a new one. I take a piece of paper and some music and then I draw a layout on the paper. I try to draw it like I want to havfe it look like. Then I make a tree for all the different pages. like index-artwork-links-tutorials-...
then i try to think about the content i want to add on each site.
then make it in photoshop and edit it in image ready.

that's just the beginning but alsways good to do that

I'm looking for books, that can try to explain you how to expand your impression of art, how you can make better wallpapers, how to use your creative mind better..

I'm sure there are a lot more that would color more things like Composition and things, I just don't know of any right off hand.
