I was just wondering if anyone knew of some sites which had examples for very good print ads. You like in magazines and newpaperes, etc? Any type of ad I am lloking for but I am most interested in ads about cars, car dealerships, online car services, etc.

Thanks!

I would say go to a magazine shop, or a bookstore. Seriously, I am not trying to be sarcastic. Ads on the internet are way different than ads that are printed, imo.

Buy a magazine, newspaper, etc. :rolleyes:

In my opinion, the web cannot do justice to images made for print. If you want to get free magazines, go to convenience stores and ask what day they get their new issues in. Then, when you know, lurk around the dumpster or the back of the store and pick up the old copies they throw out. They only need to send in the cover to get a refund, sending the whole mag would be too pricey. Just dont get caught, you'll look like a desperate pervert looking for porn ;)

:: My Edit ::

Seriously, Marble, whenever we reply to the same post at the same time its the same answer. Great minds think alike :D

Well I know that but I was looking for the "Best" ads. I thought someone might know of a site with a collection of them or something.

Also thanks for the dumpster idea

They publish books that puts out the 'best' of stuff. For instance, I know there is several on Cd and album covers. Seems like there would be one for Ads as well. Never heard of a 'best ads' website, but might be a cool idea?

Nah..i know what what he's wondering. Ive looked for ad sites myself (i found some really old (1940 maybe..i mean OLD) print ads...they were interesting but not really cool). Your best bet is to surf ppl's Portfolios and click on the "Print" sections. Thats about all your gonna find on the net.

Edit: That adflip is pretty cool. Surfin it now. I just found an old (77) ad for penthouse lol
