Yhea, longer progeram give you the design procees, 2 years will only show you how to use the software. If you go for a 2 year ptogram you will end-up as a good technician, but there is no creatyvity function in any software!

about al collins, i have only heard horror stories about it, graduates having such a hard time finding jobs. My advertising design teacher in highschool had many students goto it and she said they all had trouble finding jobs. She has been in the business for 30+ years and only has bad things to say about al collins. I respect her oppinion and im just passing it on. And about not doing their own design work, im not talking about students doing it, they are students. But if you are a design college i think at least you should have your own design team to do the stuff. I guarentee many design schools do do their own work. You may be right about alumni doing the work for them. I still think its pretty sorry.

Im currently enrolled in a 3 year college course at my high school, and IMO its awesome, its more of a graphic design / graphic arts course then a web designing course... We do alot of screen printing, layout designing for magazines, books, etc... its pretty sweet.... But i like it alot, plus i dont have to pay for the class, books, rooming, etc... and im getting college credit for it... its pretty awesome... anyways... ill probably end up taking a 4 year or maybe more in something to do with the "graphics" area.... |
