We don't call you dumb, just "signature challenged" Lol! sounds like you have the right idea, upload your graphic onto a server (if you get some webspace from your ISP use it). Then in the signature section of "edit profile" add it using the [ I M G ] and [ / I M G ] tags and put http://whatever.com/yourimage.gif between them. Hope this helps |

Angelfire doesn't allow remote linking, neither does Geocities. Most of the free ones have always disallowed it, and the ones who didn't are all starting to disallow it too. Might try http://www.f2s.com. Only decent free one I know of. That's one thing my AOL account is good for, storing images that are going to be posted elsewhere. No bandwidth concerns. :D Although, since I've had cable for a year, I don't know why I still keep it....I guess thats about the only reason, lol. (edit: This was the 1000th post in this forum :D) |

In the keyword\address box, type in: My FTP When the next screen comes up, click See My FTP Space The next window should have a bunch of buttons, (Open, Utilities, Upload, etc). Click upload, and in the next window, type the file name(with extension) that you want to upload. Click Continue. Next window, click Select File and find the file. Click Send. Done. :D You get 10 MB of space per AOL account. |

OK! finally i figured it out..... thanks everyone :D oh and for anyone else who reads this who might want to know how i did this, here... i saved the file under .jgp in adobe. Then go to My Computer and find that file double click on it and it should pop up, just copy the address, like for example C:/My Documents/whatever.jpg then once uve copied it - go to Profile>Edit Profile and type [ I M G ] C:/My Documents/whatever.jpg [ / I M G ] and click submit, and there u have it! there may be many other ways to do this, but this was how i did it.... (i know this signature sucks, but hey, im a newbie at this) CUptoW555 |

CU, you have that linked to your machine, so noone can see it but you. You have to link it to the place you uploaded FTP to the AOL server It will look like http://members.aol.com/youraolname/yourimage.gif |
