Best way to catalogue photos ?

I have a ton of slides and I want to print labels for them. At the same time I'm thinking about getting Extensis Portfolio to organize all my work. But I don't know if there's an easy way to print labels from that program. The labels have to be the small size, that goes on slides.

Anybody here, who takes a lot of photos who have a good system ?

I use portfolio from extensis and its pretty good, you can find that file you used "last year" in a jiffy. As far as printing labels, I'm not aware of that kind of functionality, but you can print thumbnails from it.
For keeping up with digital graphics it kicks butt.

Thanks for the reply. The program looks like the sure thing for digital media, but I have this bad feeling that I have to export a Portfolio file to Word or something like that and print from there. That would suck !

I'll probably get the program anyway.
