zeldman's article: 99.9% of web sites are obsolete

Pretty good article from Mr. Zeldman. He brings up some good points about web standards that I haven't read before. It's from his book that is coming out next year. You should give it a read.

I’m not sure this number is accurate.... look more like a promotional idea than a fact to me...

Also, this guy call obsolete a site who’s as not a portable browser (Palm and Cell phone) obsolete... A bit insulting for ALL of us! Why would I try to access a graphic based forum on a cell phone? Hey I can’t go to teamphotoshop on my cell phone.... so for this guy this entire forum is obsolete...

Also… this guy complain about the lost of bandwich to html code. Now that obsolete information’s … images take a lot of time to download… code does not! Even if its true (sure its right) the additional download time is imperceptible.

I admit than there is some good information in this article… But it looks more like a promotion for a book… and the kind of book in which there is so much choice!
